Knock on Wood Wood is the brainchild of Loren Waldron, a New Jersey resident and inventor at heart. She came up with the idea before a road trip to Rhode Island. On the way out she wished for a traffic free ride and found herself uttering the phrase "Knock on Wood" - her fist searching for a piece of wood to knock on. To her dismay, she found herself surrounded by a sea of plastic without even a sliver of wood in sight. Instead she knocked on her noggin with hopes of avoiding bumper-to-bumper delays. As luck would have it, Loren sat in 6 hours of traffic in what should have been a 3 hour drive. If only she had a piece of wood to knock on ... |
